Friday April 1

Are you drowning in a sea of scraps that you can’t bear to throw away, yet seem to have no reason to keep?  If so, this is the lifesaver project you have been waiting for.  We use true scraps of fabrics city in widths from 1 ¼ to 2 ½ inches wide and any length.  The strips are string pieced onto a paper foundation (which is also scrap!!) this quilt is so easy and works up in no time.  Everyone from beginner to advanced will have fun completing this quilt.  Other layouts for this technique will be shown in class.

Disappearing 9 Patch

Monday April 4

9:30 – 3:30

$35.00

This is a very east and fast quilt to make from one of the most popular blocks.  It starts with the standard nine patch which can be made in various sizes.  I have used from 3 inches a patch to 6 inches a patch and the main difference is how fast you want to make the quilt and how big you want the quilt to be.  Come and enjoy!  Learn how to make a beautiful quilt in various styles.  You will also be taught how to make the quick and easy Seminole patch border which can be used on most any quilt. This class is great for quilters of all levels and will make this one of their favorite patterns since it is easy fast, and beautiful!

Hardwood Tabletopper

Tuesday April 5

My quilt series “Hardwood” was my inspiration for this table topper.  I used 3 screen prints to make a quilted 40” by 20” table topper but we can individually customize a similar size which suits your needs.  You will use accent fabric to showcase your screen prints and add some contrasting fabric for accent binding.  You will use various free motion motifs for quilting.

Thursday April 7

9:30-3:30

$30.00

(also sometimes called the Bride's Bouquet) is so appealing and now it’s a simpler block to piece thanks to Marti Michell’s new Multi-sized Kite Ruler. If you already own Marti's Set E or the 2 1/2" Stripper Set, you have some of the templates to piece the block. By adding the new ruler, you can make either 12" or 6" blocks with Set E or 9 1/2" blocks with the 2½ Stripper Set. And you don't need to be afraid to try set-in piecing with these tools. Marti's exclusive trimmed corners make the blocks simpler than they look!
