Window Tuesdays April 7 & 14 1:00 – 4:00 $40.00 This cathedral window is a little different from the norm. You can use muslin or a solid color
or a tone on tone for the background. Some of the work is done on the sewing machine and some by hand (which makes it a great

viewer is confused, not the quilter… This is a fairly easy quilt
project, except for the bias blocks. Care must be taken not to handle them except by the center block. This is a fun quilt

Piecing
for Beginning Quilt makers Thursday April 9 9:30 – 3:30 $40.00 Piecing for Beginning Quilt makers is geared to those just learning
to piece. The class project is a simple table runner with traditional pieced blocks. Rotary
cutting skills, working with Marti Michell’s favorite beginner templates (Set Q, $14), and basic piecing skills will
be emphasized. A booklet is included with the template set which lots of valuable information for
new quilt makers as well as many block designs that can be made with the template set. Instructor: Mary Huey

Linked Squares Monday
April 13 9:30 – 3:30 $35.00 Linked
squares is an updated version of a quilt done by Nancy Cabot in 1930. You will only need to choose three
fabrics. 4 simple pattern pieces make up the block. It goes together rather quickly,
so you can have this quilt done in no time. The partial seam method makes block assembly very easy and a pieced border creates
a nice scalloped effect frame for this quilt. Instructor: Patty Prodonovich

Embellished Finishing as you go Mondays April 13, 20, 27 & May 4 5:30
– 8:00 $45.00 This is a new technique to do “quilt as you go”. You can make quilt
blocks individually and then sew them together. You can use your decorative stitches on your machine or just straight stitch
to put the blocks together. We will be making a placemat in class, but you will learn the method so you can make larger items. Instructor:

Pineapple Block Runner Friday
April 17 9:30 – 3:30 $30.00 + pattern Learn to do the Pineapple Block, the symbol of hospitality. With only four (4) blocks you can put together a runner,
topper or make them into a wall hanging. This pineapple block is put together without foundation or paper piecing. And this
can be done during this class. This is a good block to use left over fabric from your stash. Join us and have something new
for your table or for someone else, as they make great gifts. There are a lot of strips to cut for these block, so we require
that you have your fabric cut prior to class. A ¼” foot would be most helpful for this project. Instructor:

Machine Quilting Monday April 27 9:00 –
3:00 $35.00 In this class you will learn techniques for using the walking
foot and the darning foot to do grid quilting and free-motion quilting with your sewing machine. We will
discuss needles and threads for machine quilting. This is a techniques class and it gets you off to a good
start with machine quilting. Although quilting by machine is eventually a great time saver and a wonderful
way to quilt, it does take practice to perfect the method. Instructor:

Block a Month – Noon and Light Tuesday April 28 5:00 – 8:00 $15.00 We will continue our Block of the Month series with six new blocks. Each block will use various
techniques and combinations to create unique and interesting projects. Five of the blocks are 12-inches
finished; one is 8-inches finished. One block is scrappy and will give students the chance to use up some

your Spring cleaning done as you clean out all those boxes and bags in your closets and sewing room. You could even use your
husband’s shirts! You’ll have lots of fun as you string piece this quilt – it goes very quickly and you’ll

the McKenna Ryan Way Tuesdays May 5, 19 & June 2 9:00 -12:00 $30.00 This class will teach you how to appliqué beautifully without the hand sewing. You will be surprised
by the beautiful work you can do, whether you’re a beginner or a master quilter. The class will teach some new techniques

Sampler Wednesdays

8:00 $40.00 Learn to make the versatile and fun Sawtooth Star in almost 100 variations and many sizes! The class covers a
quick and easy way to make flying geese, techniques for the star centers, and lots more. Bring your scraps to practice
or plan a sampler quilt with one or more sizes of the star. A design book ($10.00) that goes along with the material

Stacked
4 Patch Thursdays
May 7, 14 & 21 9:00 –
12:00 $40.00 Do you like the effect of a Stack-n-Whack
or Dresden plates, but don’t want to buy all that fabric? This wall hanging or quilt can be made with 4 repeats of fabric
instead of the 6, 8 or 12 that are usually necessary. You can also showcase a scene from fabric such as an oriental scene.
These little magic square 4 patch blocks are easy to make and look great in a wall hanging or larger quilt. Instructor: Dottie Moreland

Intro. to Paper Piecing Thursday May 7 5:00 – 8:00 $20.00 Linda Schwalm will teach basic paper-piecing
using foundation papers. You will learn the sewing machine technique while making a Golden Star block.
This is only a 7 inch block, but you can do it! You will be provided a kit which includes printed
patterns for your star and precut fabrics matching the sample block. This is a one-session, beginner class. Instructor: Linda Schwalm.
