Join us monthly for another project out of Pat Sloan's Holiday Celebrations book! We will complete one project out of Pat Sloan's book each month. This month the project is the Sparkler quilt. We will make one block in class with the option to complete that one block as a wall hanging or complete the rest of the blocks at home and finish it as a quilt.
Please, bring a lunch or snack if you'd like.

| Skill Details: | In this class you will learn (or improve upon) the skills of piecing, quilting, & binding a small wall hanging. You will have the option to purchase additional supplies to complete 3 more blocks and make the quilt as shown in the book. |

| Requirements: | Students will need Pat Sloan's Holiday Celebrations book, a sewing machine in good working order that you are familiar using, a neutral color thread for your piecing, thread the color you'd like to use for your quilting, red thread for the binding, three filled bobbins (one to match each of your thread choices). Basic sewing tools you will need: scissors, snips (if you use them), and straight pins/quilt clips. We never plan to need a seam ripper, however, it would be a good idea to have one just in case a classmate needs to borrow it. :) Optional items are a rotary cutter, ruler and mat. Having your own will limit waiting for the classroom ones. You will need a 1/4" foot, a dual feed/even feed foot, a straight stitch plate is helpful, a zig-zag plate, quilting needles.
