Skill Level: | Beginner |
Skill Details: | Easy enough for a beginner and fun enough for more experienced sewers! :) |
Materials Included: | No materials are included. |
Requirements: | You will need: A sewing machine in good working order that you're familiar using Basic sewing supplies (scissors, rotary cutter, seam ripper in case your friend needs one,...) Microtex needles - size 90 pinking shears An even feed/walking foot Zipper foot Standard presser foot A bag from your favorite candy. Larger bags are easier. I do not recommend using a small/single serve size bag for use during class. If you?re more comfortable opening it in class, you will also need a bag or container to put your candies in. 😊 Thread to match or coordinate with your candy bag. A bobbin wound with thread to match your lining fabric. Lining fabric to coordinate with your candy bag. You?ll want this to be an inch larger than your bag all the way around. You will need two pieces or one large enough to line the front and back of your bag. A package of Pellon Iron-on clear vinyl - must be the machine safe kind!! Quilt batting the same size as your lining fabric. A zipper that?s 2-3" longer than the top width of your bag. Longer is better. |
