Class Epic Club - Chapter 4 - Tote Bag Project Class - Fayetteville

This club meets monthly to work through the chapters of the Epic workbook.  We take an in-depth exploration and review the top features of our top of the line machines.  Each month we build a deeper knowledge of all that these machines can do.  Each month will be a different chapter.

During this class we will complete the project that we began while learning the techniques covered in chapter 4.  We will use our newly learned skills to create decorative fabric that we will then use to make a tote bag with a rounded bottom.  Other options for the project are to turn it into a wall hanging or pillow.  The options are endless!

Skill Level: Intermediate
Skill Details: You need to have an HV Designer Epic or Epic 2 machine and be familiar with the basic use of navigating through the menus of the machine.
Materials Included: All students will receive a printout of the current chapter of the workbook that we will be focusing on that month. All students who register for a complete year will receive a binder to put their printouts in. :)
Requirements: In addition to your machine and the embroidery unit, you will want to bring a basic kit of sewing supplies to each class. Items you may need are: scissors, snips, pins, quilt clips, marking tools, needles, screwdriver, sewing thread, embroidery thread, your embroidery hoops, bobbins, a seam ripper in case a friend needs it, etc... For the December project you will need 1 yard decorative quilting fabric, embroidery threads to coordinate with your fabric, a chalk marker, light weight fusible interfacing, piping cord, & 1/2 yard of solid fabric (They suggest a denim-look or decorator weight. I used a solid quilting cotton that has a denim look to it.) It will be helpful, but not necessary, to bring a tube turner and a piping foot. You can use a zipper foot if you do not have a piping foot. The size of the piping and piping foot is determined by the size of piping that you prefer. If you'd rather not create the tote, please, bring any supplies you may need for the project that you'd prefer to create. Please, reach out to me if you have any questions!! I'm always happy to help. :) You can reach me at the store at 717-352-3050 or via email at anna.sewnplace@gmail.com.
