Camp Juki - Fayetteville
Learn your Juki longarm. Michael will spend the first part of the morning discussing the mechanics of the machine, how to adjust tensions, how to thread, what needles to use, how to wind bobbins and how to load a quilt on the frame. Once the quilt is loaded, we will take turns adjusting the stitch quality, discussing the various functions of the screen and working on techniques to improve the quilting process.
In the afternoon, Stacy will be teaching how to use the automation that is available for the Juki longarm; quilt motion. She will show how to tighten belts accordingly, how to measure the quilt in the software, how to align quilt blocks and resize patterns to fit in these blocks, how to do edge to edge quilting, nesting and how to roll the quilt and realign for beautiful results.
