Class Lemoyne Trails Quilt - Fayetteville

This quilt uses basic scrappy Lemoynes combined with scrappy Snail Trail blocks with 2 different background fabrics to create a trellis effect. There are no Y seams or Half Square triangles in the Lemoynes, as the star points are strip pieced and made oversized so they can be trimmed to perfection. The Snails Trail blocks are trimmed after each round is added, so that they end up being the perfect partner to your Lemoyne Stars. While this is a fat quarter friendly pattern, yardage can easily be used.

Use this Lemoyne Trails Instruction Sheet to prepare for class.  Pre-cutting must be done prior to class to ensure maximum instructional and sewing time.

There is a minimum of 3 students required for this class to take place, so invite your friends!

Instructor Bio: Unlike many quilters, Ginny grew up in a family that did not sew. Her mother felt that Elmers Glue was an acceptable alternative to a sewing machine and used it with great gusto. It wasn?t until a junior high home economics class that Ginny realized there was another choice. She started sewing every chance she got. When her youngest of six children finally graduated from college, Ginny started quilting, and never looked back! Early on, Ginny discovered the Studio 180 tools and saw a vast improvement in her precision. Ever the teacher and mom, Ginny wanted to share what she had learned, and became a Studio 180 Certified Instructor in 2016. Ginny earned her instructor certification in 2021 from Sew Kind of Wonderful. Ginny very much enjoys teaching at quilt shops, guilds and retreats. With almost 30 years experience as a high school science teacher, Ginny has the ability to break down complex techniques and processes into simple achievable chunks. She effectively applies this skill to her quilt classes. Using humor and enthusiasm, Ginny motivates and encourages her students to increase their skills and confidence. Ginny loves to share the pleasure quilting can bring by showing students how to accomplish their goals and complete projects...even those they didn't think they were capable of.
