Class Viking Club - Chapter 18 - Fayetteville

During this month’s class we will learn how to add yarn embroidery embellishments to our projects.   We will use this technique to create a handy roll up tote.  These are great for carrying your essentials to your future classes or taking your toiletries on travel!

Requirements:  In addition to your machine and the embroidery unit, you will want to bring a basic kit of sewing supplies to each class.  Items you may need are: your machine manual, the embroidery design sample book for your machine, scissors, snips, pins, quilt clips, marking tools, needles, screwdriver, the feet for your machine, straight stitch plate & zig zag plate for your machine, sewing thread, embroidery thread, your embroidery hoops, filled bobbins, a seam ripper in case a friend needs it, etc...

For this month’s project you will need):

•       the yarn couching feet set

•       200 X 200 hoop

•       3 yards of 5/32” piping cord

•       three sport zippers 14” or longer

•       3/4 yard main fabric

•       3/4 yard lining  & piping fabric

•       ½ yard clear vinyl

•       1 “chunky” button

•       embroidery threads

•       sewing threads

•       cotton batting
