Learn to use Robin Ruth's Fat Robin 16-point Mariner's Compass ruler to piece a perfect Mariner's compass block. Use your completed block to create a throw pillow sham.

| Skill Details: | This class requires you to be a confident Intermediate to advanced quilter. You must be able to sew an accurate 1/4' seam and be familiar with using quilting rulers, and will require either hand applique or machine applique proficiency. |
| Requirements: | Fabric- 5 fat quarters for: point 1, point 2, point 3, center, and border ¾ yard for background, setting square, pillow back Rulers- Students will need the Fat Robin 16-point Marinier's Compass book and ruler. Either a straight edge ruler with a 60° mark, or a 60° ruler. Other supplies- Sewing machine in good working order that you know how to thread and use with needle, bobbin, and matching thread Pins Fabric cutting scissors Paper cutting scissors Seam ripper Rotary cutter with fresh blade Painters tape 22” Pillow form Mechanical pencil Optional- Circle template ruler, or Robin Ruth Design Angle Ruler, or compass Light Iron Pressing board Cutting mat at least 16” x 18” |
