Learn Cris' secrets to beautiful free motion quilting. Twenty five years ago, she took some free motion quilting classes that set her on the path to success. She will break up the class into 2 sections building on the techniques you have learned.

- Basic Sashings and Borders
Requirements:
One Quilt Sandwich:
- 18”x18” Light Solid or Light Tone-on-Tone print for Top Fabric
- 19”x19” Lightweight Batting; Spray Basted or Fused, NO PINS!
- 20”x20” Backing Fabric
One Partial Sandwich (We will add the FMQ Panel on top in class):
- 19” x 19” Batting as above, Fused to Backing
- 20” x 20” Backing Fabric
- Sewing Machine with base table, walking foot, free motion foot, and ability to lower feed dogs for free motion
- Thread-Contrasting Color for practice and Light Grey - (Glide-Cool Grey 3 used in Class Sample)
- Full Machine Bobbin
- #90/14 Needle
- Water-soluble Fabric Marker
- Quilting Gloves (Machingers)
- Supreme Slider (If necessary for your machine)

| Instructor Bio: | I have been quilting for over 40 years. I started my journey hand quilting and piecing. As quilting and technology evolved, I continued to learn and grow. I took my first Free Motion Quilting class over 25 years ago (on a domestic machine) and moved to a longarm over 20 years ago. Highview Quilts is my business where I offer custom and edge-to-edge longarm quilting. A client of mine gifted me my first Stripology Ruler about 5 years ago and I fell in love with GE Designs patterns and products. I became a Certified Stripology Instructor in 2024. I currently teach Stripology Patterns, Beginner to Advanced Free Motion, Ruler Work, Longarm, and Prostitcher Classes. |
