Class Serger 101 - Fayetteville

In this class, you will learn how to use a 4-thread Serger. Topics include proper threading techniques, identifying the upper and lower loopers, and understanding when and why to adjust looper tension or cutting width.
Once you have mastered the basic 4-thread stitch, we will explore 3-thread stitches and discuss differential feed. You will create sample pieces to take home for future reference.
Please bring your Serger, the instruction manual, all included tools, and four different colors of Serger thread (to match the color-coded tension dials).
Class size is limited to a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 6 participants.
***PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE SIGNING UP FOR CLASSES Space is limited in all of our classes. Please, sign up early! Please let us know at least 2 weeks in advance if you need to back out of a class. Our teachers work very hard preparing for class and to do so properly, they need to have a head count a couple of weeks before the class begins. Because all class fees go to our teachers, we cannot refund class fees if you do not show up for a class or if you cancel less than 1 week before the start of the class. |
