Class Epic Club - Chapter 3 - Technique Class - Fayetteville
This club meets monthly to work through the chapters of the Epic workbook. We take an in-depth exploration and review the top features of our top of the line machines. Each month we build a deeper knowledge of all that these machines can do. Each month will be a different chapter.
This is the Technique Class where we will learn the new technique. This month we will focus on chapter 3 which covers some of the icons to make our embroidery & designing quicker and easier! We will also begin work on a project that uses our newly learned skills to add a design to the back of a denim or fleece jacket. Other options for the project are to turn it into a wall hanging or tote bag. The options are endless! We will combine several built in embroidery flower & stem designs and receive a new vase design to put them in!
Skill Level: | Intermediate |
Skill Details: | You need to have an HV Designer Epic or Epic 2 machine and be familiar with the basic use of navigating through the menus of the machine. Skill levels vary in class. This means that some students may finish the project in class, some may take it home to finish and some may stay for the follow up Project Class to finish up. |
Materials Included: | All students will receive a printout of the current chapter of the workbook that we will be focusing on that month. All students who register for a complete year will receive a binder to put their printouts in. :) |
Requirements: | In addition to your machine and the embroidery unit, you will want to bring a basic kit of sewing supplies to each class. Items you may need are: scissors, snips, pins, quilt clips, marking tools, needles, screwdriver, sewing thread, embroidery thread, a 260 X 200 embroidery hoop, bobbins, a seam ripper in case a friend needs it, etc... For the November project you will need embroidery thread, bobbin thread, tear away light stabilizer, a surgical seam ripper, a 10" X 12" piece of fabric (for the vase), and a denim or fleece jacket. If you'd rather not put the design on a jacket, please, bring any supplies you may need for the project that you'd prefer to create. Please, reach out to me if you have any questions!! I'm always happy to help. :) You can reach me at the store at 717-352-3050 or via email at anna.sewnplace@gmail.com. |
